On my Home Business Radio Network show this week, we discuss a few things you need to keep in mind when tweaking your MLM business goals and targets for 2013.
Even if you already have your goals down and ready, it’s good to make sure you can answer the questions I go over in the show, without hesitation. Unfortunately, not all training on goal setting emphasizes the foundation you need before you start the process.
One thing I highlight this week is the need to be clear on your opportunity.
If I were to ask 100 MLM home business builders about their “why” for their business, I bet most would say something like this:
to make money
And there is nothing wrong with that! Obviously, we are all in business to make money. The thing is, are other elements in place to give you the BEST chance to make that money and achieve the goals that you’ve set?
Think about your business, your goals, what you want to achieve, and see if everything seems in place. One thing I’ve always taught, and totally believe, is that your MLM products or services are THE foundation for your long term success. If you have this right, you have the first key for success and making money in your business.
Privately, just to yourself, ask these questions….
- do you feel good about the value of your product or service?
- do you feel that anyone buying your product is getting a good deal at regular pricing?
- can you honestly say that you would enjoy using your product if there was no money attached?
- do you use your products or services yourself?
- are you in any way reserved about recommending your product to others? If so, why?
See, this isn’t rocket science. To be successful in your home business, you have to have a product or service that you really feel good about. Again, this is your foundation. If you feel some reservation, check it out. If you feel uncomfortable with any of the questions above, work it out.
All the MLM business training, webinars, and magical prospecting tips won’t help you very much if you don’t have that feeling of confidence about your product or service. This can happen when you choose your opportunity based more on the money potential and income hype.
Find something you feel good about, use it yourself, get on board with your upline team leaders, and have a prosperous year in 2013!
