Boost Your MLM Business with Appreciation Marketing

appreciate marketing can help your mlm businessWhat is appreciation marketing? How can it help your MLM and network marketing business grow? What is the magic here that can help any type of business grow and prosper?

We hear a lot about “attraction marketing” these days, and for good reason – it’s a superb way to get prospects for your MLM business to contact you when they’re ready for details about a home business opportunity.

A really effective and smart way to boost your attraction marketing efforts, and your network marketing business in general, is to practice appreciation marketing every chance you get. It’s all about finding ways to let everyone you meet and interact with know that you appreciate them for something. It’s about making people feel special, not just like another number or face in the crowd.

There are many situations where you can apply appreciation marketing. The key to this is being sincere and doing it without blatant expectation of return. If you send someone a gift, for example, send it “just because”. Don’t send it expecting them to reciprocate in some manner. They often will, but that’s not the point. You will receive many rewards over time if you are genuine and authentic.

Appreciate Your MLM Downline Team

You can provide all the resources and training for success your downline team needs,  and that’s great! But don’t stop there. They want to be appreciated for whatever they are doing. It’s pretty easy to congratulate and appreciate your top earners, but what about those who are down there and “stuck”, perhaps struggling to get their business off the ground? Send those people a card or some nice expression of encouragement and appreciation – it only takes a minute and can make a world of difference to them!

Appreciate Your Customers

Do something for your retail customers. I know we all appreciate those who buy from us, but sometime in our enthusiasm to prospect for new MLM business associates, we can forget to let them know that. A good customer may never join your business, but their purchases are still money in your pocket and you never know when they might refer you to someone looking for an income opportunity.

Appreciate People Who Help You

Has someone done something nice for you? What about people from  social tribes who visit your blog to comment and help you get more exposure? How about those who respond and help you out when you ask a question on a message board? Those who say nice things about your status updates on Facebook? Remember them and they will have a hard time forgetting you.

Our online (AND offline) social lives are so busy these days, and fewer and fewer people really slow down long enough to take time for thanking and appreciating others. That’s not good, and this is where you can really stand out!

These are just a few examples of how you can practice appreciation marketing. Really, your imagination is the limit. I like to send out cards to show people that I am thinking of them. There are other ways to show appreciation as well – the key is simply taking time and making the effort to do it.

  1. Eldon, your post on appreciation marketing is huge.

So many times we let things go by and don’t express our gratitude or appreciation. You’ve reminded me of several areas that I have some weaknesses in this. Thank you for sharing.

I will continue to strive to do better. Your example of these different groups and types of people is also was meaningful. Each one of them does that so much influence in our lives. I hope that you will continue to encourage us to continue to develop. I appreciate your assistance in the fine-tuning my appreciation marketing.
    Thank you!

      Hi Kevin,

Showing appreciation to others at all times, “just because”, works wonders in all areas of your life and business. It’s amazing.

  3. I really appreciate the points you’ve raised in your article Eldon. So many people never take the time for a simple thank you or to even acknowledge someone else’s efforts on their behalf. It can really boost someone’s ego to be recognized even in the smallest way and ironically it makes that person/customer/team member want to do even more. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hi Marquita, you’re right, people crave genuine recognition and will be motivated to work harder and more effectively because of it.
