What is the first key to success with any online home business?
What is it that you have to “get right” or risk losing much of your potential to make money with your business?
It is….FOCUS. This podcast focuses on focus. 😀
I have made this topic the first in my podcast series because I believe that the degree of focus and intent you have with your business determines in large part how successful you’ll be. Get this right, and everything else falls into place much more easily.
I’ve seen too many people fail to make money online because they spread their efforts too thinly and never really get traction with anything.
Some of the main points….
- why lack of proper focus dooms (or seriously minimizes) your online business efforts
- which types of businesses are most affected by focus issues
- a true story of a guy I knew who lost millions because he refused to focus
- sorting through the online jungle and coming out on top with energy and determination
Enjoy, and please don’t hesitate to leave feedback here, or privately. I appreciate all comments!

Got a minute? Take a look at what’s working in an online business for me...

A great podcast Eldon. I made the mistake of overextending myself when I first started out and just could not give any one thing the attention it deserved. I did not realize how much work you need to put in to build up your online reputation before you have a chance of real success. You cannot do that if you are flitting around all over the place. I agree that focusing is so important.
Hi Eldon,
I thoroughly enjoyed your podcast. How easy it is to lose focus especially when you’re just starting out in business. There are, indeed, so many things online all vying for our attention. I once had 7 opportunities going at the same time. What a mistake that was, basically I only made a small commission from each.
Life became so much easier and far less stressful when I got focused. For those who want to have multiple streams of income, do like Eldon says in this podcast. Build each one to the point of income you desire then start another biz opp, rinse and repeat.
I know a person who does this and he now works from home full time. He actually has 160 websites (this is no exaggeration), he works 12 to 16 hours per day, plus he out-sources much of the work overseas. So it can be done, but who wants to work 12 to 16 hours a day? Not me that’s for sure!
Better to keep it simple with pointed focus I think
Regards
Paul
