Got a minute? Take a look at what’s working in an online business for me...

Someone somewhere once said a job of a writer (we can substitute blogger) is to turn up at their desk at 9am and write,,, and that is my philosophy for me and my writing 😉
If it’s a job, yeah….. 🙂
For the part time business builder, where the blogging is optional, it can be a struggle sometime juggling that with other responsibilities.
One of my mentors says writing an article or blog post is often simply reacting or responding to what someone else has said. That should be easy enough, right? Not always. You’ve given lots of great tips and ideas here, Eldon. I especially like the infographic you linked to.
Willena
That infographic has provided me with a number of great topic ideas….glad you like it!
Eldon, Some good points made there. Inspiration is where you find it, but sometimes you have to go looking for it. Thanks for the tips!
You bet! Appreciate you stopping by.
Thanks for these great ideas to get the creativity flowing, Eldon.
There are many ways to get unstuck. I like the suggestion about borrowing. I think that bloggers too frequently think they have to come up with totally original content.
It’s much easier to join an existing discussion than to try to start a totally new one.
David, I think most bloggers use other peoples’ content to inspire their own. In most niches, there really isn’t that much new under the sun, but there is opportunity to put it in a new light and reach people.
Hello Eldon! Great tips my friend! When I get writers block I just go and read the FB news feed there is always alot going on there, one can get many idea’s just from watching and listening to what everyone it talking about.. Thanks for sharing.. Have a Wonderful X-Mas! Chery :))
Reading the FB news feed….I should have thought of that one. 🙂
Eldon,
I actually read an article reporting writer’s block was actually when we experience ‘nothingness’ and that he did not think that was the case in most of us. He said that what we are really experiencing is ‘writer’s log jam’, although it is equally as frustrating. It’s the inability to write because of too many influences, too much information, and too many different ideas banging against each other in our head.
Personally, I find that taking an exercise break works wonders–it untangles my cluttered mind.
I think the concept of “log jam” makes sense, to me that’s basically the same as a “block”.
I like this….makes sense….
…inability to write because of too many influences, too much information, and too many different ideas banging against each other in our head.
